Adjustable Hosel: Yes How much loft change:

+/- 2°

TECH: Not your standard draw driver. Sole weighting moves towards the heel, and there’s plenty of clever tweaks to the design to deliver an average of 12 yards of draw bias (but up to 20 is on offer if you include hosel adaptor adjustment) from a head that doesn’t look closed.

WE SAY: As good as past “draw” drivers have been, golfers who’ve used them have confessed to feeling like keeping a dirty secret! We promise, though, the D-Type’s different. The face angle doesn’t aim left, the design, cosmetics and “draw” name don’t scream slicey golfer... and the D-Type doesn’t just work for slicers either. Simon, who’d never entertained a draw driver before, really warmed to the D-Type as his typical heel strike is right in line with the D-Type’s heelbiased CG. So not only did it feel really stable, it also produced some of his fastest ball speeds.

VERDICT: The D-Type brings something very new to the TaylorMade party. It’s seriously good for more than just slicers.
