CITIZEN TOURBILLON Y01
Citizen’s first ever tourbillon mechanical watch, the Citizen Tourbillon Y01, is to commemorate the 300th anniversary of Daimaru Matsuzakaya, one of Japan’s largest and oldest department store. Available only at Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Stores, the price of the Tourbillon Y01 is 10 million yen, approximately US$90,000. The Tourbillon Y01 comes in a 42mm white gold case framing a precious white enamel dial. The hand-wound movement, developed and produced by Citizen, is visible through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback and decorated with ribbing, uniform stripes created using a slightly inclined, rotating grinding wheel that is guided along the component in straight, parallel lines.
