Start a Grassroots Youth Programme

As a Malay, I have to balik kampung once in a while.

One day I thought, “why can’t we teach kampung kids the simple basics of golf?”

This would be a great way to keep them occupied and away from bad distractions like drugs and illegal racing.

As a golfer, I learnt that playing the game requires one to have integrity and to have respect for others as a gentleman golfer.

I am sure these values can be passed on through a structured programme.

By having such a programme, I am sure we will have a champion in no time.

Furthermore, a programme of such nature will also create jobs for coaches who are in desperate need for work.

I am sure our Federal and State governments have the means and resources to start something like this with the education ministry.

Over to you Putrajaya.
