PRADA

Harper’s Bazaar (Malaysia) - - Collections Report -

To capture the mood of raw elegance, Miuccia Prada paired traditionally luxurious elements – embellishment, metallics, mink – with clunky shoes and chunky knits worn wide open at the neck. Even buttery soft leather jackets were treated so the edges faded out, like a vintage favourite. Asymmetry and volume were key. Coats had wide cuffs and dresses flared below the knee. Skirts swished about gracefully with panels of embellished silk. Movies provided another reference, sensed through the cinematic feel of mysterious shadows on the walls and ’40s-tinged Hitchcock-esque heroines on the runway.
