Michael Kors has an extremely successful formula, which he reworks every season. Themes may change but the Kors look is always sporty, modern, and easy to wear. This season, he wanted to juxtapose downtown athleticism with uptown sophistication. Cue neon scuba dresses and leather tees worn with swinging knee-length skirts and classic prints such as houndstooth. But even the classics got the Kors twist; houndstooth checks came dipped in sequins or rendered in fur. His camouflage furs were a clever take on military. Black patent trim on energetic brights such as royal blue and taxicab yellow added a pop factor. Pop would also be a good way to describe the sexy finale dresses with contrast peplums that cascaded down the back.
