What are some of your inspirations for this collection? The faded blush and pinks were inspired by a photo I took of flamingos at a dilapidated bird park but the woman I really wanted to capture was someone glamorously eccentric like Australian stylist Catherine Baba and silent-film star Theda Bara. Favorite collections this season? Raf Simons is doing amazing things at Dior at the moment, and I love Dries Van Noten’s ease, and how he mixes it up with glamour. Career path you would like to follow? Alber Elbaz. Ever since he was appointed, he’s created an instantly attractive and recognisable aesthetic for Lanvin. He also does really strong collaborations. If you could show at an international fashion week, which would it be? Paris is the ultimate, but I’d love to show in New York first. It’s a good mix of salable ready-to-wear and innovative newness. Perfect pieces to wear with your collection? Zanotti gold pumps or nude, unfussy heels. Rauwolf has amazing clutches, and Dolce & Gabbana’s bejewelled headbands are gorgeous.
