Inspiration this season? A book of war photographs by Stacy Pearsall. It was about perseverance and survival, so the colours went from dark and sombre to bright blues and emerald sequins. Favourite designer? I’ve loved Haider Ackermann since his first collection. He is such a genius with colours and draping. Success story to emulate? Zara. I would love to learn how it operates its business and how it’s become this giant in the fashion industry, sustaining that success for so long. Favorite collection this season? Dries Van Noten. He did this classic, androgynous look but then mixed it up with feminine details. It’s really romantic. I loved his idea of long coats over skirts over pants or a white shirt worn with jewels and feathers. Dream collaboration? London-based jewellery designer, Madeleine Moxham. She does amazing statement jewellery. I can imagine mixing her edgy gold necklaces and earrings with my collection.
