DIRECTOR’S CUT

Harper’s Bazaar (Malaysia) - - Talking Points -

Produced by James Franco and directed by Christina Voros, The Director follows the remarkable story of Gucci under Frida Giannini’s lead. Its three acts altogether span a period of 18 months behind the walls of the famed Florentine house, where the creative director strives to uphold a legacy of elegance and pure inspiration. Says Giannini of the film, which recently premiered at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival, “I think that the glamour of the fashion industry conceals the work that goes into the process itself. And for a 90-year-old fashion house like Gucci there is so much that goes into the “making of” of our products and collections that deserves to be better understood, so I thought it would be interesting to have an outsider’s view on that complete story.” www.gucci.com
