Fur and sheer organza, the stars of the show, took on an undeniably wearable role: Fendi has made the impossible, possible! Women who long to wear luxurious mink but live in 30-degree climates are now able to amp up their wardrobes with a hint of it. The knee-length dresses, tops, and skirts with intricate mink cutouts of geometric patterns are perfect for that summer stroll along the Villa Borghese or even for a night out in a hot Asian city, Hong Kong to Kuala Lumpur.

The renowned Fendi fur workshop, a temple of highly skilled artisans, is where it all began for this show-stopping label that has elevated fur to new heights with groundbreaking techniques. “Fendi always aligns innovation with tradition,” says Pietro Beccari, CEO of Fendi, of the brand’s constant foray into the past, expertly picking Fendi’s quirky Bag Bug charm has cemented itself as the new must-have, just like the It-bag of the ’ 90s, the Baguette, which became a cultural phenomenon. These furry little creatures made their appearance a season ago and now have a cult following, adorning the bags of celebrities such as Cara Delevingne, Naomi Campbell, and Solange Knowles. A special edition Bag Bug charm called Funich ( an homage to the German city of Munich) has been created in celebration of Fendi’s boutique opening at 12 Maximilianstrasse, Munich. an element and modernising it for the Fendi woman today.

In addition to the 3D fur patterns, the double F logos of the Sixties, and shaved mink, Fendi artisans have been busy tinkering away, teasing fur into animal-shaped bags and charms. In a special collaboration with another member of the illustrious family (none other than Delfina Delettrez Fendi), the fur has also Fur and feather double-finger ring, Fendi Funich Bag Bug charm, Fendi Fendi Spring/ Summer ’14 made its mark on a jewellery collection. Removable splashes of decadent fur on crystal-embedded accessories were an exquisite nod to the Twenties girl of the modern era. If the great Gatsby were to throw a party in 2014, his guests would be dressed in nothing but Fendi Spring/ Summer ’14. As contemporary and futuristic as the collection looks, the artful combination of accessories gave it a timeless and elegant spark. All in all, a powerful collection that cleverly defines the balance of an intelligent, uniquely original Fendi woman.
