Leigh Lezark’s freakish talent for pulling off ambitious trends (mullet dresses, crop tops, skin-tight jumpsuits) has made her a fashion tastemaker. Front-row appearances at the most anticipated shows also give her serious fashion cred. Little wonder that Sportmax, part of the MaxMara group, has as picked Lezark as inspiration for its first irst eyewear collection, , in collaboration with Culter and Gross. Role sunglasses play in your life? I work very late and travel a lot; sunglasses hide when I haven’t gotten enough sleep. What do you look for? Great shapes to fit my face and a pair that is sturdy and well-made. Your pick from the Sportmax x Cutler and Gross range? No favourites, as each style complements different outfits, but I’ll probably wear the square ones with the clear acetate the most. Top songs to play at fashion parties? The Disclosure record [debut album Settle] works at any party. I love it. Most surreal moment? I once deejayed at a Versace party in a Milan mansion with different themed rooms and models in couture gowns acting like they were overdosing on the floor. Ours was a music room with an LED dance floor. There was also another room made entirely of ice.
