Harper’s BAZAAR and Fendi recently teamed up for a fabulous evening at the famed Italian brand’s Pavilion KL boutique. Fashionistas were treated to an exciting preview of the Spring/Summer ’14 collection, featuring an exclusive showcase of stunning jewellery by la famiglia collaborator Delfina Delettrez Fendi. Guests were also invited to personalise their very own piece of luxury with Fendi’s renowned Made To Order experience, putting their unique touch on Peekaboo bags.

Jeffrey Yan of BAZAAR presented the season’s biggest trends, and styling tips to steal runway looks with key Fendi pieces. “Be daring and irreverent with your jewellery,” he recommends. “Wear just one earring, or a necklace in your hair, or brooches on your bags and belts.”

Delfina Delettrez’s jewellery line, playfully named Furrytales, was a huge success, with Fendi-nistas queueing up to try the exquisite bejewelled and furry pieces. Inspired by Silvia Venturini Fendi’s now-iconic Bag Bugs, the designer had created two kinds of “eyes” to adorn her bracelets, earrings, and rings. “One is an Egyptian eye and one’s round, with a pearl, and I’ve added make-up to make them more night-time,” she explained. “In some cases the eyes begin to mutate and look like tropical birds.”

The experience of the whimsical yet glamorous accessories was made into Polaroid memories, sweetened with customised Fendi macaroons.
