Will Cot­ton’s hy­per­re­al­is­tic oil paint­ings of retro in­dul­gences like cot­ton candy and pin-up girls will be on dis­play at Lon­don’s Ron­chini Gallery, mark­ing the Amer­i­can artist’s first solo ex­hi­bi­tion in the UK. Cu­rated by the Hud­son River Mu­seum’s Bartholomew F. Bland, the se­lec­tion in­cludes a for­mal, Delft School-in­spired por­trait of a woman with a head­dress of Ladurée mac­arons, and “Be­yond The Plea­sure Prin­ci­ple”, which de­picts a nude woman strad­dling a crea­ture made of vanilla ice cream.
