What inspires you? The beautiful, independent women of Paris, especially at night, when they dress up.

Biggest guilty pleasure? To sleep. Whatever happens, I need eight hours a night.

What’s Donatella like? I have always admired her vision – she has inspired even

the most conceptual designers. My heart beat so fast when I walked through the door, but then it was like talking to an old friend.

Any obsessions? Lines, architecture, proportion, beauty. If you weren’t a designer, what would you be? It’d be something to do with observation. I love to watch.
