FASHION
One of the ‘Antwerp Six’, Dries Van Noten has rocketed through the fashion world with his fascinating collections. Each creation is a manifestation of his fantasies and dreams of faraway places. His inspiration is derived from the culture of the world; the uniqueness that each village, city, and country has to offer is then mixed with stylistic vocabulary. The new exhibition, ‘Dries Van Noten: Inspirations’, is an exciting collaboration between Van Noten
and the Arts Decoratifs Museum in Paris, making it a one-of-a-kind gallery experience. Thanks to magnificent pieces on loan by artists such as Kees van Dongen and Damien Hirst, and emblematic couturiers such as Christian Dior and Elsa Schiaparelli, ‘Inspirations’ takes us straight into the designer’s creative mind. Until August 31 at Les Arts Decoratifs, Paris.
