Casting agent, fashion consultant, and streetstyle favourite of Tommy Ton and Scott Schuman, Natalie Joos gives us the lowdown on her top shopping haunts and what she’ll be wearing

this coming autumn. By Amy Yasmine. What is your dressing-up routine on a daily basis? Funnily, I have to take my hair into consideration first. If it’s freshly washed, I know it will be big and curly by noon, which requires me to think ahead and put on a more bohemian type of attire. But if my hair is pulled back, I can go more clean and classic. I usually go for dresses in the summer and trousers in the winter. How has your style evolved throughout the years? I think I’ve always dressed the same. I’ve always loved colours and cute, feminine clothes. In my teens, I had bad skin and dressed like a preppy version of Kurt Cobain. I was insecure and didn’t feel pretty. That’s when I met my first boyfriend. He made me put on dresses again and “invented” the girl I am today. How would you describe your personal style? More often than not, I dress in characters. It’s really easy for me to shift from minimal to crazy at the drop of a hat. It all depends on the mood I’m in. But mostly, there is a little bit of humour and something “off ” about my outfits. I’m never perfect. What is your greatest wardrobe investment? An expensive Balenciaga dress from years ago, and a Céline dress. Both are timeless so I consider them great investments. New or vintage clothes? I prefer vintage! Favourite cities to visit? Tokyo, Ghent, Los Angeles, Barcelona and Istanbul. Where do you shop? Usually at vintage stores, and for shoes I go to the big department stores, such as Barney’s and Bergdorf Goodman. What are you excited to wear in Autumn/Winter ’15? More ’60s! But I never look that far ahead. By September, I might be bored with all my short shift dresses and move onto something completely new. I tend to change my mind a lot. What is your favourite thing to wear right now? My green Saint Laurent ‘Candy’ shoes and a pink chiffon vintage fairy dress. If you could wear just one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? A bikini. On a tropical beach. O n t he go in sp or ty plea
