For Elizabeth Lee Yong, her life is a canvas just waiting for the next stroke of genius. BAZAAR approached the remarkable visual virtuoso behind Bowerhaus on picking up a new brush as a mother, as well as sharing with us the art of escape starring three-month-old Blake Azalee Yong, who is already making waves as an influential Instagram icon. Elizabeth goes back to her own philosophy in creativity and how she sees it as a form of heirloom for Blake. Baby Blake inherits her own wanderlust kingdom at an early age, appearing in imaginative and undoubtedly creative use of props and composition in the relatively trending photography genre of flat lays. The effort is a clear reflection of Elizabeth’s own past of artistic upbringing at home. She shares her story:
“When I was little, my parents always encouraged my sister Shentel and I in various creative outlets such as painting, music, dancing, jewellery making. However, there were many times we would follow our parents to work and our imagination would run wild creating cubby houses and conquering all different types of adventures, no matter where we were. We also had an active imagination. And when I was pregnant, I would love going onto Pinterest looking for inspiration for our daughter’s nursery. I would occasionally see different baby photos and I was always drawn to the more humorous ones where the parents
