Armed with all the knowl­edge and in­tel they have, they of­fer a slice of their heaven to view­ers who are dy­ing for a piece of that glitz and glam­our. Lisa Eldridge, make-up artist to the stars and a fash­ion show back­stage fix­ture, is a YouTube sen­sa­tion with more than 200k likes per video, demon­strat­ing eas­ily the looks she has cre­ated for celebri­ties such as Vic­to­ria Beck­ham, as well as for the run­ways. Her au­then­tic­ity never runs low de­spite the fame, which a lot of so­cial me­dia stars have deemed most im­por­tant.

“The com­ment that I get time and time again is ‘I trust you. You rec­om­mended it and I bought it.’” She con­tin­ues, “I didn’t start do­ing videos to make money out of them. To this day, I’ve never made money off YouTube, I’ve never sold ad­ver­tis­ing, and I’ve never done spon­sored videos. I’ve al­ways been cau­tious about that. I don’t ever want to have to dumb down or be fake.”
