What was your inspiration for Roger Vivier’s Spring/ Summer ’16 collection? The ’70s. It is also the most important period for Roger. This season, the Roger Vivier woman is cool, desirable, and chic. A little bit like Anjelica Huston – glamorous, bohemian, and everyone wants to look like her. Sneakers were unexpectedly introduced this season. Why is that? Sneakers were very popular in the ’70s, especially in Los Angeles. It was special, but now it’s a look everyone would wear. It’s quite a democratically fashionable look, and Roger Vivier provides something that is very couture but casual. What about the ’70s excites you the most? The women were very natural looking. Glamorous and never too dramatic. What sets this collection apart? I don’t think any collection should be different; there should be continuity. To quote Alber Elbaz, “It’s about a revolution, not an evolution.” A little touch of rock, glamour, and more streetwise, like the sneakers, or simple boots with stronger heels. The season’s most covetable Sneaky Viv’ collection of sneakers

Bag, Roger Vivier
