Recognised as one of the greatest artists of all time, it’s hard to believe that Sandro Botticelli was neglected for more than 300 years. Thankfully, though, his work was rediscovered in the 19th century. On March 5, the Victoria and Albert Museum’s ‘Botticelli Reimagined’ will begin

to talk about his influence in art, film, and fashion through the works of Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Andy Warhol, and Elsa Schiaparelli, among many others. The exhibition will feature 50 masterpieces by Botticelli himself, including The Birth of Venus and The Virgin and Child with Two Angels and the Young St John the Baptist.

Until July 3 at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. www.vam.ac.uk/botticelli The Venus dress, as seen in Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/ Summer ’93 runway show
