On a fragrant January night, BAZAAR and Jo Malone London hosted a spectacular cast of guests at the British High Commissioner’s Residence in Kuala Lumpur. Celebrating the brand’s elegant yet unexpected take on artisan fragrances, they indulged in personalised pampering with the distinctive Jo Malone London body and hand lotions, as well as the renowned collection of colognes. Scented candles in a cornucopia of signatures warmly lit the residence for that all-embracing Jo Malone experience.

After a delightful outdoor cocktail reception, an intimate sitdown dinner ensued, hosted by Paul Slavin, managing director of Estée Lauder Companies, and Tony Collingridge, director of UK Trade & Investment Malaysia. The contemporary British dinner was much enjoyed, right down to the dessert of Valrhona chocolate duo.

The soirée came after the brand’s launch of its newest Cologne Intense collection in Malaysia, and the evening air reflected its philosophy – the art of gift giving, personified. The brand’s British elegance translates beautifully into its packaging and scents, and all guests bore witness to it that night. Crafted in a kitchen in London in its early days and later acquired by the Estée Lauder Companies in 1999, Jo Malone London is the last word in bespoke beauty.
