YOUNG BLOODS

Taking place at Galeri Petronas this month is ‘Young Malaysian Artists III’, an exhibition showcasing contemporary artworks crafted by 40 radical Malaysian artists. The pieces—a mixture of new media and conventional paintings—share the common themes of innovation, ideas, and expressions, intentionally made free of restrictions or rules. In a nation where freedom of speech is still a work in progress, it’s refreshing to witness a creative search for new artistic idioms.
