FOR THE LOVE OF PUMPK INS

Harper’s Bazaar (Malaysia) - - The Culture Bazaar -

Queen of conceptual pop art and feminist art, Yayoi Kusama, is experimental and an important voice of the avant-garde. New paintings from her ongoing My Eternal Soul and Infinity Nets series have filled both of Victoria Miro Gallery’s Mayfair and Wharf Road locations, overflowing with Kusama’s undying preoccupations with polka dots, repetition, and infinity net patterns. The signature pumpkin motif present in the form of mirror polished sculptures, as well as the mirrored rooms, have also returned to London for the first time since Kusama’s major retrospective at Tate Modern in 2012. This year, Victoria Miro presents All the Eternal Love I Have for the Pumpkins, Chandelier of Grief, and Where the Lights in My Heart Go. Embrace the abstract and voyage through a universe of multiplying capricious reflections. Until July 30 at Victoria Miro Gallery, London. www.victoria-miro.com
