Ge­orge Town Festival (GTF), the an­nual month-long cel­e­bra­tion of arts, cul­ture, her­itage, and com­mu­nity draws thou­sands of vis­i­tors to Pe­nang each year to wit­ness and par­tic­i­pate in more than 100 events. The grand feast of mu­sic, dance, film, arts, food, and visual spec­ta­cles star­ring both lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional tal­ents trans­forms the city into a global stage. Com­mu­nity ac­cess to world-class per­for­mances are af­ford­ably priced, if not free of charge. This year, GTF is also launch­ing the Arts for Hu­man­ity move­ment with an aim to create greater com­mu­nity en­gage­ment, ad­min­is­ter bet­ter ac­cess to the arts, and to ed­u­cate and fos­ter tal­ents.
