By Linda Can­tello, in­ter­na­tional make-up artist for Gior­gio Ar­mani. “It’s glowy, tight, healthy-look­ing skin,” Can­tello says of the sum­mer god­dess com­plex­ion she cre­ated. “I think we all aspire to have beau­ti­ful skin—there’s a sub­lim­i­nal thing that sets you apart and makes you look well kept.” To un­der­score, she adds: “If you give me 10 min­utes to do some­one’s make-up, I’ll spend eight of it do­ing the skin.”


Prime time. Start with Gior­gio Ar­mani Ar­mani Prima Glow-On Mois­tur­iz­ing Balm, which Can­tello con­sid­ers a new sta­ple. “It’s a mois­turiser, plus a primer with ac­tive in­gre­di­ents, and it makes your skin glow,” she en­thuses. Use your fingers to stroke the balm onto your skin; don’t rub or press. Ap­ply it over your cheeks, along your T-zone, and on your chin. Look­ing a lit­tle tired? Try one of Can­tello’s on-set tricks: “I stick soaked, caf­feinated tea bags un­der the eyes for a few min­utes—the caf­feine depuffs.”

Build your foundation. For the ul­ti­mate dewy ef­fect, Can­tello uses Gior­gio Ar­mani Mae­stro Glow Foundation, which has oils and lu­mi­nous pig­ments that help re­flect light. Us­ing your fingers, ap­ply the serum-like cover-up on your cheeks, un­der the eyes, and on the T-zone,
