François Nars cre­ated six dif­fer­ent looks for the gothic Marc Ja­cobs show. “[The six looks] give a re­ally good range and was enough to tell the story of the girl Marc had in mind. The in­spi­ra­tion comes from dif­fer­ent singers like Alice Cooper or those night per­form­ers—very New York, very un­der­ground.” Eyes were the fo­cal point, with blank brows as a staple for all mod­els, and eye­liner rang­ing from black and heav­ily lined to ex­tremely smoked out.

Dick Page used a cal­lig­ra­phy brush to cre­ate all six of the lined looks At Nar­ciso Ro­driguez, Dick Page cre­ated nat­u­rally glow­ing skin and groomed eye­brows, but se­lected in­di­vid­u­als for stand­out graphic looks. “On six girls, I’m do­ing a lit­tle paint­ing on the eye­lid with Shi­seido Shim­mer­ing Cream Eye Color in Caviar. I wet the brush, load it up, and do a very sim­ple paint de­tail.”
