Bobbi Brown helmed the make-up at New York Fashion Week with a focus on the naturally glowing looks for which her brand is known. She also gave us a sneak peek of what we could expect from the brand’s 25th anniversary celebration. At Marchesa, Brown envisioned the models emerging from an 1800s John Singer Sargent portrait, “a retouched one” with rose pink lips and cheeks. At Tibi, in tandem with the collection’s military and monochromatic theme, Brown opted for more neutral shades that reflected the “no make-up” make-up look she pioneered in the ’90s. In 1991, Bobbi Brown Essentials lipsticks launched to huge success at Bergdorf Goodman, and The New Classics lipstick collection to be launched during the anniversary draws inspiration from the original 10. From the ’90s until now, Brown has had us hooked.
