MIRROR, MIRROR ON THE WALL
Who is the most beautiful of them all? At Dolce & Gabbana’s Fabulous Fantasy show, the set was imbued with props from some of the most popular Disney and Hans Christian Andersen tales, and brought Pat McGrath’s make-up looks to life. Diffused petal lips, flushed cheeks, and perfect skin graced model princesses with opulent hair accessories. Against the backdrop, the effect was otherworldly. At Erdem, Robin Brown’s set also intensified the beauty looks. It was inspired by Mrs. Danvers, the deranged housekeeper in Daphne du Maurier’s Rebecca, with discarded furniture exuding faded glamour. The hair by Anthony Turner, which featured soft side-parted chignons accessorised with jewelled clips, contrasted well against the eerie set.
