Flycycle instructors reveal why music is vital to the best workouts, and their favourite tracks when teaching a class. Every song sets a different tone—faster beats for sprints, slower ones for uphill climbs—and we have to create the mood for riders to experience a variety of emotions throughout the class. My favourite song to play is “Summer” by Calvin Harris. An important aspect of “Split (Only U)” by Tiesto and The Chainsmokers is the sound of the bass when the beat drops. The fast tempo chorus makes it the perfect final sprint track for any routine; the song fills your body with adrenaline to push it to the very limit. I love “Bailando” by Enrique Iglesias. It’s got a very positive beat to it and it makes you want to start dancing. It’s a favourite during my classes. Level 6-1A, Verve Shops Mont’Kiara. Tel: 03-6206 2082 www. flycy
