ROULA SALAMOUN AND IEVA SAUDARGAITE

During Beirut Design Week last May, architect Roula Salamoun and artist Ieva Saudargaite collaborated to create the ‘Nationmetrix’ installation, a spatial representation of travelling as a Lebanese passport holder. Cords of recycled plastic hung from the ceiling, with the denser areas representing the hostility faced by Lebanese travelers. @roula. salamoun; @ieva. saudargaite

PAOLA SAKR

Inspired by her memories of watching her father sip on coffee every morning, Paola Sakr’s passion for sustainability led her to create the ‘Morning Ritual’, a series of biodegradable containers made from a mix of coffee grounds and newspaper waste. www .paolasakr. design ; @paolasakr

JENNIFER COLLIER

“Giving new life to things that would otherwise go unloved or be thrown away” is the idea central to Jennifer Collier’s world. Using traditional textile techniques, Jennifer finds versatile ways to transform paper from books, maps, and wallpapers into decorative textural objects. www.jennifercollier.co.uk @paperjennifer
