ONCE UPON A TIME
To celebrate Dior’s 70th anniversary, the who-is-who of international celebrities descended upon Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris for the French fashion house’s grand opening of the ‘Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams’ exhibition. Spanning over 32,000 square feet, this is the house’s largest retrospective since 1987, and pays homage to its retrograde founder, Christian Dior, as well as his legacy. Curated by Florence Müller and Olivier Gabet, the thematic exhibition digs deep into the archives, and showcases more than 300 dresses from 1947 to present day in spectacular fashion, including a hyperreal paper flower installation by Wanda Barcelona. The opening night saw Karlie Kloss, Bianca Jagger, and more dressed head to toe in Dior—all of whom got to preview the inner workings of Monsieur Dior and his successors, from Yves Saint Laurent to Maria Grazia Chiuri.
