HWYL OF FORTUNE
No stranger to collaborating with fashion brands from Von Sono to Paul Smith, French perfumer Barnabé Fillion has collaborated with Aesop to create the much awaited Hwyl Eau de Parfum, an intriguing unisex scent named after the Welsh word for stirring emotional fervour. Aptly named too, as it opens with beguiling smokey notes of fresh thyme extract, followed by rich aromas of wood, moss, and robust spices. “My inspiration for Hwyl was sparked by walking amongst the remarkable 300-year-old Hiba trees in an ancient Japanese forest and experiencing the country’s lush temple moss gardens,” Fillion explains.
