Harper’s Bazaar (Malaysia) - - The Culture -

A benchmark for Malaysia’s art and culture scene, the first Kuala Lumpur Biennale is a celebration of Asian art through the theme of “Alami Belas/Be Loved”. Separated into five stories of nature, heritage, people, animals, and legendary icons, the exhibition shines light on different societal values and cultural identities. With works from artists such as Bibi Chew, Diana Lui, and Jeganathan Ramachandram on display, the KL Biennale is an invitation to immerse in the symbolic world of art through sight and sound. Until March 31 at National Art Gallery, Kuala Lumpur. Tel: 03-4026 7000. www.artgallery.gov.my/KLBiennale
