EDITOR’S NOTE

Herworld (Malaysia) - - CONTENTS - Eena Houzyama, Editor Tweet me at @eena_herworldmy I would love to hear your thoughts!

I’d never truly looked at fitness and exercise as a method to heal certain illnesses. I knew keeping fit would help the body stay healthy, but I overlooked how it can help strengthen the body for the necessary treatments ahead when you’re suffering from an illness or disease. It was not until I watched my nephew go through physical therapy, to teach his body once again to function normally after a brain surgery, that it dawned on me how fitness plays a huge role in helping patients rebuild their immune system and strength. In this issue, you’ll find our annual Fit & Fab section to keep you company on your fitness and health journey. From fitness routines that would help those suffering from life-threatening ailments to simple workouts you can do at home with your BFF, we hope that you’ll find it easier to make exercise a daily affair, and perhaps start by doing an outdoor activity once a week. Make time to care for yourself. If you find that you’re constantly busy scheduling activities for your kids, take this opportunity to make time for your own healthy lifestyle. Let’s do it, ladies. Let’s celebrate ourselves and give our body the best care it needs.
