“Is my child too active?”

Herworld (Malaysia) - - HER STORY -

R : Young children are generally very active and it’s perfectly normal for a two-year-old to have a short attention span and to be easily distracted by things.

“Yes, it’s normal.” If they can sit down to complete a task, such as colouring, that’s okay. By the time they hit five or six, the symptoms of hyperactivity become more noticeable.

“Should I be worried?” If your child has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), they will be the ones usually marked as ‘naughty’ by the teachers! They tend to be very impulsive, take risks, and can’t tell if a situation is dangerous – they’ll be the sort to rush out to the middle of the road.
