Hydrate and repair with a luxe facial.

Give yourself a little treat and leave all your worries behind by booking yourself a facial with Sisley. Their experts will help to customise a suitable combination of products to address any skin issues.

I chose a slot in the morning for the Sisley Phyto Aromatic Facial Treatment – a little pick-me-up at the start of the day. The facial felt extrapampering as it was in a hotel suite, on a comfy king-size bed. To help me relax even more, the beautician walked me through a breathing exercise with lavender essential oil. During the double-cleanse, she took out a pair of warm mittens to thoroughly remove excess oils. They were just the right temperature to help open up the pores for exfoliation.

As I was nervous about the extraction step, it took me by surprise that it didn’t happen. Instead of popping my pimples (which may aggravate it further), the beautician used two Sisley Gentle Brushes to remove impurities and dead skin cells, and to prep for the next step. She went on to apply the Sisleÿa L’Intégral Anti-Âge Firming Concentrated Serum using unique French massage techniques – this helps to lift the skin, leaving it more plump and defined. After another round of massage with the warm mittens, she toned my skin before slathering on the Velvet Nourishing Cream, which will help to repair and rescue skin that’s dry to very dry as it contains soothing saffron flower extracts and pro-vitamin B5. It ended with another breathing exercise, this time using the Litsea Cubeba oil to gently awaken my senses.

As my combination-type skin is acneprone, I had some slight reservations about trying this facial due to the botanical ingredients in the products, which can trigger sensitivity in some skin types. There’s also usually some redness around my cheeks caused by cystic acne and open wounds from popped pimples. So to my surprise, my skin looked plump, hydrated, and dewy after the facial. It was calmer too and less red – with the results visible throughout the week!
