Here are some organisations that need help!
1 The Food Aid Foundation
The Food Aid Foundation is an NGO that acts as a ‘food bank’. They gather donated, unused or unwanted food from manufacturers, distributors, wholesaler, retailers, companies, and even you and me, then distribute it to those in need, such as charity or welfare homes, soup kitchens, refugee communities, and underprivileged families. You can do you part by volunteering with them, or donasting cash or food.
2 The Lost Food Project (TLFP)
Another NGO in Malaysia that salvages quality, nutritious food – that might otherwise end up in landfills – and redistributes them to those in need. Comprised of a passionate group of volunteers who want to reduce the impact of food waste on our environment, they work closely with food distributors and suppliers to obtain surplus food. You can help them increase their capacity to 1.5 million meals provided to people in need by joining their team as a volunteer, giving cash donations or fundraising for them.
