Sterling-silver home accessories collection by Tiffany & Co.
The brand’s Tiffany Blue box (and the diamondsilver jewellery in it) may be one of the most coveted accessories in the world, but that’s not all Tiffany & Co. is known for. The American brand pioneered the market for unconventional ornate silver home accessories – not for their out- of-the world-designs, but for turning quotidian home objects into things worth collecting. Tiffany & Co.’s chief artistic officer, Reed Krakoff, tries his hand at this with his first collection.
In 1837, co-founders Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B. Young opened a stationery and fancy goods store with a $1,000 advance from Charles’ father. The Tiffany Blue colour, or robin’s egg blue, was inspired by turquoise gemstones that were popular in 19th-century jewellery.
These Twisted Crazy Straws are available in yellow, rose gold vermeil, and hand-finished sterling silver. This tin can pays homage to a 1978 window installation, in which a paint can was transformed into a crystal ice bucket.
THE HOME & ACCESSORIES COLLECTION IS AVAILABLE IN TIFFANY & CO. STORES FROM NOVEMBER.
The iconic shade of Tiffany Blue turns accessories into quirky, valuable heirlooms.
