ASUS unveils new devices at ‘We Transform’ roadshow
Earlier this month, ASUS Malaysia introduced an array of their latest mobile devices. The ‘We Transform’ roadshow held at the Center Court of Mid Valley Megamall saw the unveiling of the FonePad Note 6, VivoBook S551 Series, MeMO Pad HD7, PadFone Infinity and the new N550 series.
The PadFone Infinity was one of the most interesting products at the roadshow. Essentially a 5-inch Full HD display LTE smartphone, the PadFone Infinity also sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor which provides up to 19 hours of talk time on a 3G network. Perhaps the unique selling point of the PadFone Infinity is that it can be slotted into the PadFone Infinity Station, transforming the device into a 10.1-inch tablet. The smartphone and docking station come bundled together at a price of just RM2,699.
Besides that, the FonePad Note 6 was also a show stealer. Equipped with a 6-inch Full HD Super IPS+ display, this smartphone also uses a powerful 2GHz Intel Atom Z2580 dual-core processor. Finally, we have the ViVoBook S551LB. Fundamentally a Windows 8 Ultrabook, the ViVoBook comes with a 4th Generation Intel Core i7-4500U processor (also available in i5) and a NVIDIA GeForce GT740M graphics card, all enjoyed through a 15.6-inch LED backlit screen at a price of RM3,499.
Aside from the products that were introduced, an ASUS spokesperson also gave us a sneak peak at the new Nexus 7. With details of the product still under wraps, it will be making its way to Malaysian shores somewhere around mid September.
