To ensure enough current is supplied to our testbed, we use one of the best PSUs (Power Supply Units) on the market today. This PSU is none other than the Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 1200W which is semi-modular, and has enough power to meet the demands of even a multi-graphics card rig.
Components testing such as graphics cards and RAMs are done on an Intel DX79SI, which features six SATA 6Gb/s ports and four USB3 ports. These ports allow us to test both SATA 6 Gb/s and SATA 3 Gb/s products, as well as any USB3
(KHX1600C9D3K4/16GX). It has been tested to run at 1600MHz, and has a low latency of 9-9-9-27 at 1.65V. There is a single XMP that automatically boosts the modules to run at 1600MHz.
Graphics rendering is handled by some of the most powerful graphics cards on the market to date. When we test components, we use a refence NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN, while motherboards are tested using a Sapphire HD 7970 (AMD Radeon HD 7970)
When it comes to RAM needs, we uuse a Kingston HyperX 16GB kit
HStorage is handled by a Western Digital Velociraptor 1TB Hard Disk Drive, as well as a Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid drive. The WD Velociraptor is used on our components testbed, while the Seagate Momentus XT is used when testing motherboards.
Our testbed is protected by Belkin’s SurgeMaster Protector. Not only do they provide multiple power sockets to connect multiple peripherals, they ensure a steady supply of current to our testbed, preventing any overloading.
