Today, businesses and even home users are struggling to find a suitable way to store their ever-growing data and files. This is why NAS (Network Attached Storage) is becoming more popular today as their flexibility is highly useful. We got a chance to look at Asustor’s AS-302T, a NAS that is designed as an affordable means to store and access one’s data.

Setting up this NAS is relatively simple as most of its functions are automated. After inserting a hard disk drives (HDDs) into one or both of its bays, connect it to your computer to begin initializing the setup procedure. The AS-302T will automatically setup your storage device before allowing you to access its web interface. The ADM 2.0 web-based user interface itself is neatly arranged and allows users to easily manage this NAS.

As a 2-bay NAS, the AS-302T is suitable for smaller businesses or even individual users that require a way to store their files whilst being easily accessible throughout their home or office network. Around the AS-302T, there is a single USB 3.0 port in the front, while the back has two USB 2.0, one USB 3.0, a HDMI port, a LAN port, the power port and a reset button. The AS-302T also supports an array of RAID formats, such as RAID 0, RAID 1, JBOD and Single Disk.

Among the many features highlighted on the AS-302T includes its ability to enjoy your media from the NAS directly, via the built-in HDMI interface and multimedia apps. Another feature that is gaining popularity is the ability for users to connect to their NAS wirelessly via their smartphones or tablets. Users can download two different applications: AiMaster, which lets them conveniently manage and monitor the status of the AS-302T and AiData, that allows users to safely browse and access their files within the NAS.

Security also plays an important role in any product. To ensure your files are always secure and available, the AS-302T comes with a number of backup measures.
