EOS 70D Arrives in Malaysia
Canon’s latest mid-range DSLR launched in Kuching
Canon’s highly popular mid-range DSLR, the Canon EOS 60D is now being replaced by an even more powerful and versatile DSLR, the Canon EOS 70D. The launch for the EOS 70D was held in Kuching, Sarawak and was attended by a number of VIPs including Mr. Simon Yam, Canon Ambassador and Hong Kong superstar, Mr. Melvyn Ho, President and CEO of Canon Marketing (Malaysia), and Mr. Donny Ling, Director of the Imaging Communication Products division of Canon Marketing (Malaysia).
The EOS 70D features the newly-developed Dual Pixel CMOS AF system that delivers enhanced auto-focusing speed in Live View. The technology involved making changes to the CMOS sensor’s design; integrating two photo diodes into each pixel. This allows every individual pixel to perform both, imaging and phase-difference auto-focusing Other notable features on the EOS 70D include 19 cross-type AF points and compatibility with the EOS Remote App, which allows users to use their smartphones as a remote viewfinder for the camera.
