PIKOM Holds An­nual Char­ity Golf Event

Raises RM60,000 for Var­i­ous Char­i­ties

Last month, the Na­tional ICT As­so­ci­a­tion of Malaysia (PIKOM), suc­cess­fully held its sixth an­nual Char­ity Golf Tour­na­ment at the Ban­dar Sun­gai Long Golf and Coun­try Club. Or­ga­nized on De­cem­ber 17, the event suc­cess­fully raised a to­tal of RM60,000, thanks to the do­na­tions from a num­ber of com­pa­nies, in­clud­ing RM30,000 by YB Datuk Haji Fadi­lah Haji Yu­sof, who do­nated the amount on be­half of his of­fice.

This year, the do­na­tions were dis­trib­uted to the Chil­dren’s Home of Hope through the Na­tional Can­cer So­ci­ety of Malaysia (RM25,000), the Pan­tai Timur flood vic­tims through Yayasan Salam Malaysia (RM25,000), and the Myan­mar Chil­dren Learn­ing Cen­tre through the SIBKL Com­mu­nity (RM10,000).

The event was par­tic­i­pated by 108 se­nior ex­ec­u­tives who rep­re­sented 40 cor­po­rate com­pa­nies. Spon­sors of this event in­clude the Min­istry of Works, In­dah Wa­ter, Sil­ver­lake, Mul­ti­me­dia De­vel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion, Pow­er­ware, Cyn­nyx Sdn Bhd, KPMG, KL Con­ven­tion Cen­tre, Bano Wa­ter, and M-Mode Ber­had. This an­nual event has raised over RM550,000 in the name of char­ity.
