Last month at Sharp’s ‘Full Speed Ahead’ event, the company announced its plan to unleash a string of new products in the competitive Malaysian market. Among the products that were announced include the highly-anticipated THX-certified AQUOS Ultra HD LED TV; home appliances such as refrigerators, air-conditioners and washing machines; as well as its new customers service team, the A-FORCE.

“We are confident that our brand value proposition and strategic business approach will put us in good stead in tackling the challenges ahead. Next year the demand is projected at 2 million units and Sharp will be at the frontline jostling for the share of the market with our Big AQUOS series line-up leading the way. Similarly, we expect slight increase in the demand for other categories in the Consumer Electrical products and in all these categories we will be fighting for our deserved share,” said Hiroyuki Nuizato, Managing Director, Sharp-Roxy Sales & Service Company.

Sharp’s AQUOS Ultra HD LED TV, the LC-70UD1X, enhances picture quality with impeccable detail and clarity. This allows the TV to have up to four times the higher pixel resolution than other HD televisions, allowing viewers to experience crisper and more detailed videos. The recommended retail price of the 70-inch TV is RM29,999.

In addition, Sharp also introduced its dual swing door fridge model, the SJBW30PBK. The innovative swing door technology allows users to open the fridge from either left or right positions, giving them better accessibility to the fridge’s contents. Sharp also mentioned that the fridge is powered by its proprietary Plasmacluster Ion (PCI) technology to help keep your food fresh longer and from contaminants.

Besides that, Sharp also officially introduced its new special customer service team, the A-FORCE, to further expand its presence in the air-conditioner market. The team is dedicated to provide great service and support in its air conditioning segment in the Malaysian market.
