Dear Intel, This Christmas...
New ‘Trade Up My PC’ Initiative Encourages Malaysian Consumers to Upgrade Their PCs
Last month, Intel Malaysia hosted a media luncheon, where Sameer Tupaki, Marketing Manager, Intel Malaysia, took the opportunity to explain how Intel’s trade-in program works.
“With the Christmas season just around the corner, it is very likely that most consumers have the latest gadgets and computing devices at the top of their wish lists,” Sameer said. “We couldn’t be more excited to share them with our consumers, especially through our PC trade-in program.”
The new ‘Trade up my PC’ initiative was the follow-up of Intel’s ‘Generation Today’ campaign, where Intel set out on a mission to encourage Malaysian consumers to upgrade their PCs to the latest touch-enabled devices powered by Intel processors.
The ‘Trade up my PC’ initiative is essentially a chance for Malaysian consumers to trade-in their old desktop or notebook PCs at participating resellers and outlets and be rewarded with a cashback rebate of up to RM650 on selected PC purchases. To qualify for this, consumers were required to purchase either a HP Pavilion 14-n060TX, a HP Pavilion Touchsmart 14-n049TX (Silver) or a HP Pavilion 14-n059TX.
The early Christmas luncheon also gave Intel a chance to officially award and congratulate the winners of the ‘Generation Today’ campaign. The various winners walked away with prizes such as the brand new ASUS Fonepad, while two very lucky winners were given a Vespa scooter worth RM12,000.
