TyPO Introduces Physical Keyboard for iPhone 5/5s

Keyboard case to offer smooth, tactile typing experience

HWM (Malaysia) - - TELEPORT -

While keyboard accessories are rather common for the iPhones, the TYPO Keyboard offers a different look, plus it also received the backing of popular American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, who has invested US$1 million on it.

The TYPO Keyboard is actually a Bluetooth-enabled case that is designed for the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s, while also lending a similar appearance to the BlackBerry Q10 smartphone. Using the TYPO physical keyboard can help to reduce typos up to 50 percent, resulting in less errors. It also charges up fully in less than an hour.

The inspiration behind the product came around when Ryan Seacrest was having dinner with his friend, Laurence Hallier, the CEO of Show Media. They noticed that their friends and colleagues tend to carry two phones: one for typing, while the iPhone is for everything else.

The TYPO keyboard will be shown at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2014 in January, with the product scheduled to ship on the same month. Other keyboard for smartphone and tablets are also in the works, according to TYPO.

The TYPO Keyboard for the iPhone mimics the BlackBerry keyboard design.
