Spotify Makes Mobile Streaming Free
Music streaming service Now Free for Android and ios Devices with certain restrictions
Popular music streaming service Spotify has confirmed that it’s offering free access to its music catalog to all Android and iOS devices with certain restrictions based on the device used.
On tablets, Spotify provides the same freemium features found on the desktop experience, allowing users to search and listen to any song, with the occasional ads popping in from time to time. Spotify on smartphones, on the other hand, lets users discover new artists, shuffle play specific artists, their created playlists or the ones that they follow.
The paid subscription, known as Spotify Premium, will still exists for those who wants to enjoy on-demand and ad-free music, along with full access to Spotify’s music catalog and the ability to download tracks for offline listening. The monthly subscription fee is RM14.90 for the Spotify Premium account.
Also announced was the availability of rock and roll legend Led Zeppelin’s music catalog on Spotify.
