Either create your own little course for simple skills or take short courses from other teachers for as low as US$20. The courses are bite-sized and usually project-based, where you learn a skill by completing a project. Unlike the standard MOOC, you can register as soon as a course starts, with no definitive beginning or end time – start and stop whenever you like.
A rather interesting concept, Degreed is about creating ‘the new diploma’ where it will compile both real-world, non-virtual courses you took offline and the ones you take online into a single transcript.
Think of this as an online repository of information where you learn things in a customised interface, as well as self-directed environment. For parents and teachers, they can use the Khan environment to interact with children and students in an online environment.
