Sony’s PS4 Arrives on Malaysian Shores!
Sony Malaysia Officially Launches the PlayStation 4
Many console gamers in Malaysia cheered last month as Sony Malaysia officially launched its next-generation gaming console – the PlayStation 4 – on Malaysian soil. The launch event was a simple one, held at the One Utama shopping center and attended by Hiroyuki Oda, Deputy President, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia and Kikuo Okura, Managing Director, Sony Malaysia, as well as guest of honor, Mr. Pradeep, Managing Director of Uptron Group.
Similar to the other regional launches, the Malaysian launch saw the first few individuals who preordered the PS4, well-rewarded. These individuals were Zaif Chew, the first to pre-order at the KLCC Sony Store; Syazril Hisham, who preordered at the Sony Store at The Curve; and Sonny Tang, the first to preorder on the Sony Online Store. These three not only walked away with their PS4s, but with a 10-year subscription to Sony’s PlayStation Plus service.
Not only did the event served as a station for those who preordered their PS4s, it was a platform for attendees to try out some of the notable PS4’s launch titles, including NBA 2K14 and Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag. The PlayStation Vita TV was also showcased.
