HWM (Malaysia) - - REPORT -

Trend Micro has listed a number of 2014 predictions on the future cyber-threat landscape. Among Trend Micro’s predictions that are likely to happen include the rise of online banking threats due to the prevalence usage of mobile apps, allowing more cybercriminals to intercept authentication numbers. Trend Micro also predicts the increase use of targeted-attack-type methodologies, brought on by the ease of use and effectiveness in evading detection. Besides that, Trend Micro also predicted more major data breaches in 2014. Web servers, such as those from the Adobe and Yahoo! Japan incidents, will remain as prime targets for cybercriminals, who will always utilize new tools and exploits to break in.
