Unwired Sound Bar
Philips Fidelio HTL9100 Officially Launched in Malaysia
Last month, WOOX Innovations officially launched the Philips Fidelio HTL9100 Sound Bar in Malaysia. Held in conjunction with the Harvey Norman IPC Atrium Roadshow 2014, the launch took place in Ikano Shopping Centre, Mutiara Damansara. Present at the event to officiate the launch were Andrew Tan, Business Leader of WOOX Innovations Malaysia and Karam Singh, General Manager, Electrical, Harvey Norman Malaysia.
The Philips Fidelio HTL9100 is the world’s first sound bar that has a wireless and detachable pair of surround speakers. With this feature, this sound bar is able to provide the same directional sound that one would get from a 5.1-channel surround sound system.
This sound bar has a total output of 210W, and supports both Dolby Digital 5.1, as well as DTS Digital Surround audio. As for its two wireless speaker units, they have their own integrated batteries that can power them for up to 10 hours after a full charge. When detached from the main unit, they are synced wirelessly with a proprietary connection, so there’s no need to manually pair the surround speakers.
Locally, this sound bar is priced at RM2,999 and is available at all major IT retail stores, such as Harvey Norman. WOOX Innovations Malaysia handles the distribution in Malaysia.
